A St Austell church resounded with music last Saturday when it played host to Cornwall's premier string orchestra.
The St Mewan Sinfonia played to a large and appreciative crowd at St Augustine of Hippo Church to raise money for the church and for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice.
Earlier this month the St Mewan Sinfonia, conducted by David Frost, travelled by ferry to Roscoff where they were met by members of the French TMTA. The musicians were promptly whisked to the beautiful town of Morlaix where they were shown the sites by their friendly Breton hosts.
